On the table in Dave's photo is a bumper sticker for Andy.     He is running opposite Bob Goodlatte for the 6th District Congressional seat.       Plans are in the works for a Andy Schmookler meet and greet to be hosted at the home of Mr and Mrs Ned Kable on July 15th.     More on this later as it is affirmed and nailed down and I will post a RSVP address and phone number.     Don't fear the RSVP, Ned needs a head count so he can provide treats for those attending.

Ned fights off the rain and rearranges the signs we had set up outside.      There were some Tim Kaine and Barack Obama signs and posters we wanted to keep dry.

Mr. Fitts is working on the details for our July meeting which will be a social outing held in a restraunt somewhere within the borders of Amherst County.      Our plans are to hold every other meeting in a social setting at different locations around the county to make it easier for people living in that area to attend.      In August ( second Tuesday at 7pm )  we will meet at the Madison Heights Library (our regular meeting spot in the southern end of the county).

Leon Parrish has been offering his energy in service to the citizens of Amherst County and Central Virginia longer than any person I am aware of.     Leon participated in a floor discussion that covered the history of the Democratic Party in Amherst County and pin pointed the reasons we are in the minority today.     Leon Parrish has the courage to stand proudly and openly as a loyal Democrat.
